‘Driving Lessons’ to compete at Tampere Filmfest in Finland

Iran short ‘Driving Lessons’ is set to participate at the 49th Tampere Film Festival in Finland.

‘Driving Lessons’ is set to participate at the 49th edition of the Tampere Film Festival in Finland, bringing to two the number of Iranian short films taking part in the event.

Directed by Marzieh Riahi, ‘Driving Lessons’ will compete at a festival’s section dubbed ‘International competition 2: Feminism’.

The short will vie along with six other films from countries, including Sweden, Kosovo and India.

Earlier reports said that Iranian short film ‘Pedovore’, made by Mohammad Kart, will experience its first international appearance by competing at the ‘International competition: Big Sale’ section of the film event.

Tampere Film Festival is a 5-day cinematic event that values “both the ethics and the aesthetics of films”, according to the website of the gala.

The upcoming edition of the film festival will be held in the Finnish city of Tampere on March 6-10, 2019.
